Thanksgiving down, X-mas decorations up.

Turkey day has passed and it was a good time even with being sick on Thursday and Friday. We’re out of leftovers now which is too bad because with putting the warmed up leftover turkey on those rolls my mom gave us the other day, oh my goodness, it made a good an awesome sandwich! I need to ask her what kind of bread that was. Yum. I had meant to take pictures during the feast and the kids playing, but alas Nicholas and I took a nap instead.

The Christmas tree is up & the decorations flung, strung, and hung. With the tree up, Murphy has taken his usual holiday season position under it, keeping the space warm for the presents that shall come soon. I’m not going to bother shooing him away just yet. He’ll just carve out a path anyway. We’ll just have to plan around him. The kids helped me hang untangle the outdoor icicle lights today and steady the ladder so I wouldn’t plummet 3 feet to an unforunate sprain. It’s all nice and pretty out there. Not an exaggerated winter wonderland – we’re simple folk, you know.
