Kids Holiday Party @ Boonshoft

My company sponsors a children’s holiday party every year and this year they had it at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery in Dayton. We’ve been there plenty of times but the kids really enjoy going anytime we get a chance. Especially with free admission, how could we say no? Off we went and we had a pretty good time. We saw all of the exhibits, the animals in the zoo, and they played in the interactive areas. The kids also got to see Santa Claus but only Jake and Nicky were not reluctant to sit in his lap for a picture.

Afterwards, we were in search of the elusive refreshment room. It was in a far off corner where the auditorium is located. It was about thirty minutes until the end of the party when we got in there so the volunteers let the kids have two cookies each. While they were packing the place up, one volunteer gave us an entire box of cookies since they had so much. Awesome! A few more minutes later, someone else gave us another box of cookies. Wow! Double awesome! They even let us take a bunch of the drink pouches home as well. When we were leaving the room, we ran into a coworker of mine and he gave us a box of cookies as well. Zing! Three dozen cookies isn’t too bad for one morning. Overall, the kids had a splendid time at the Boonshoft and hopped up on sugar later on.
